About the Opportunity
We are seeking an articling student for the 2026-2027 term.

You will gain valuable experience in all of our main fields of practice. As an articling student, you will perform a variety of tasks including:

• Drafting memoranda for mediations, pre-trials, etc.;

• Drafting pleadings and motion materials;

• Assisting in and attending trials, mediations, and discoveries;

• Regularly communicating with clients;

• Researching and writing on various legal topics; and

• Helping to develop files in coordination with lawyers and clients.

 You will be an important part of our team.

 Your strengths will include:

• Demonstrated experience and/or interest in employment, labour, corporate, and/or construction law and civil litigation more generally;

• Excellent analytical, writing, oral communication, research, and interpersonal skills;

• The ability to work independently; and

• Good time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.

MID-LEVEL CONSTRUCTION LITIGATION LAWYER, 4-6 YEARS

We succeed by efficiently delivering very high-quality, client-centered services. Our clients include owners, general contractors, subcontractors, trade unions, and bonding companies. Our firm regularly appears on reported cases in the construction industry.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an associate with 4-6 years’ experience to assist the partners on construction litigation matters. This will include lien litigation in the Superior Court under the Construction Act, ODACC adjudications, labour and material bond claims, and other civil litigation matters connected to the construction industry.

Your work will include:

• Meeting with client

• Preparing correspondence

• Drafting pleadings

• Preparing for and attending mediations, cross-examinations, and discoveries

• Preparing for and attending motions, pre-trials, adjudications, and trials

You will have:

• Demonstrated experience in litigation, especially construction litigation

• Excellent analytical, writing, oral communication, research, and interpersonal skills

• The ability to work independently

• Good time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
