About the Opportunity

We are looking for an associate with 3-5 years’ experience to assist the partners on litigation matters. This will include a wide variety of matters, including corporate/commercial disputes, injunctions, and arbitrations. Work will range from relatively straightforward loan matters to complex, multi-party matters. Many files, though not all, will be in the construction industry. Prior experience in construction litigation is an asset but is not a requirement. You will need to do research and drafting, but you will also take carriage of files with our guidance and mentorship. You will be an important part of our team.

Your work will include:

  • meeting with clients

  • preparing correspondence

  • drafting pleadings

  • preparing for and attending mediation, cross-examinations, and discoveries

  • preparing for and attending motions, pre-trials, and trials in Superior Court

    You will have:

  • demonstrated experience in litigation

  • excellent analytical, writing, oral communication, research, and interpersonal skills

  • the ability to work independent

  • good time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
