Dan Freiheit is Counsel* at Rousseau Mazzuca LLP.
As a Law Society of Ontario Certified Specialist in Corporate and Commercial Law, Dan is recognized for having achieved substantial level of knowledge, involvement, and experience in various aspects of clients’ business activities including complex business structures, corporate governance, franchising, leasing, financing, and dispute resolution.
Dan began his career at one of Canada’s leading leasing and real estate law firms, and quickly developed a robust practice representing clients in various sectors, ranging from food retailers, logistics, engineering and professional services firms, to technology and software companies.
Having grown up in a family of litigators, Dan brings a unique litigation background to his corporate practice. Dan has represented clients in precedent-setting franchise and corporate law cases, and continues to deliver innovative tactics to clients involved in legal proceedings.
When he’s not zip-lining or BMX’ing with his kids, Dan can found exploring new parkour gyms in Toronto or going through a backlog of his favourite audiobooks.
Dan graduated with Dean’s Honours from Ivey and Western Law (MBA/LL.B), and is a member of the Toronto Lawyers Association and the Ontario/Canadian Bar Associations.
